What would your clinical diagnosis be for Forrest Gump?

I am doing a psychology presentation about this. I've been working on it, and I want to be correct, but I'm not sure what to diagnose him with. Do you think he is autistic or mentally retarded? I keep going back and forth with it and thought maybe I could get some help from someone who might have a better background with the DSM and all.
