Selling random items in the los angeles area?

Hi, I live in the los angeles area and I'm getting ready to move into student housing. They already have furniture there and I don't think I'll have a lot of space. I have a lot of books and random knick knacks, but I don't want to throw them away. I really dislike selling things online. Does anyone know of any stores I can go to and sell these things? Or what types of stores should I go to and try selling them? Thanks to all who can help!
