What do I adjust on blu-ray player & plasma so voices & backround are same?

I own a panasonic blu ray player and panasonic viera flatscreen tv...when i watch blu ray movies the voices of people speaking are low and backround music & effects are louder.can someone tell me what i need to adjust in the audio settings?
