If i bought a samsung finesse phone for metro can I use it for a different company that carriers the same?

I want to know this, because i can buy this phone on ebay for cheaper than buying it directly from there website, but ebay doesntt have one for straight talk they have them for metro pcs? And i really want this phone. Please help :D
