After the Jackson jive skit do Americans still respect Australians?

I'm australian and I know the the Jackson jive skit was just a bit of fun and was not racist. But I know some Americans don't see it that way because of the American history with racism. Now the host of hey hey apologized and I'm sure most Australians are very sorry if we have caused offence but I understand that kamahl is not happy with us and I just thought since alot of americans like kamahl: do you still like Australians or have you changed the way you look at is?
